Reporting to the Senior Director, Talent & Communications, within the Human Resources function, this position develops and leads implementation of the internal communications strategy companywide, including design and operation of digital communications platforms, in support of business priorities to increase team member engagement and drive organizational alignment companywide. This role partners cross-functionally to enhance the effectiveness of the organization, such as working directly with Talent Acquisition to align cultural messaging and employment branding and serves as the primary support for all executive communications. This role oversees the internal communications function consisting of two direct reports.

1. 1. Content Strategy & Development

  • Lead Internal Communications team to deliver on organizational objectives through providing clear direction, accountability, recognition and development.

  • Analyze internal communication program and provide strategy and input from industry best practices and tools fit for a growing, multi-unit organization.

  • Oversee the effectiveness of team member intranet (My24) as a resource for information and company news on a wide range of topics (leadership messages, corporate announcements, company news, policies etc.).

  • Manage and measure effectiveness of digital communications tactics and tools to better engage with team members and improve audience reach.

  • Partner with functional leaders to design, develop and deploy business-specific intranet pages which remain fluid and current with brand image, strategy and direction.

  • Develop and maintain editorial calendar of fresh, relevant and compelling team member content to inform and engage team members.

  • Provide integrated internal communication support (executive communication materials, articles, talking points, scripts, corporate emails, cascade calls etc.) to support leaders, business units, councils and key corporate initiatives.

  • Manage vendor relationships, overseeing implementation and adoption, ensuring maximum return on investment for products and services.


  1. Internal communications
  • Manage executive communication including: bios, articles, talking points, scripts, surveys, team member feedback, reporting analysis and more.

  • Manage filming, editing and posting of executive videos, and initiatives such as the annual operating plan.

  • Design, develop and deploy internal team member communications postings on company intranet, archiving, rotating and maintaining consistent and compelling content.

  • Draft articles with the intent to educate and influence key internal stakeholders while reflecting the brand image, strategy and direction.

  • Identify and share compelling team member success stories and best practices to inspire pride and loyalty in the company.

  • Provide timely response to team member questions and feedback in partnership with functional leaders.


    1. Business Partner Communication
  • Cultivate effective, strategic relationships with business partners throughout the organization and provide counsel and guidance on tactics, timing, and medium(s) for message delivery to target audiences.

  • Draft, review and edit internal business partner communications as appropriate ensure consistency.

  • Serve as internal brand steward to maintain consistent messaging in all materials and communications to align with corporate strategy.

  • Collaborate with key business partners and advise on communication gaps and messaging opportunities across all internal channels.





This position work closely with senior executives, functional and field leaders. This role manages the Communications staff.

  • Experience in managing communications through multiple channels (web/intranet, print, video, social media, blogs, project management etc.).

  • Demonstrated professional maturity with ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

  • Confidence while interacting and providing counsel to senior leadership about communication topics and techniques.

  • Technologically savvy and proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Products (Presenter, Captivate, Flash, Professional Series) and Intranet Software (Rhythmyx).

  • Creative with an eye for design and layout of visually appealing content.

  • Quick-learner with problem-solving ability who can work well under pressure with ever-changing deadlines.

  • Strategic, innovative and goal-oriented to achieve results.

Minimum Educational Level/Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree with concentration in Journalism, Mass Media, English or Marketing.

Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications

  • 6+ years of previous corporate communications, journalism or public relations experience.

  • 1+ years leading and managing an internal communications team.
