The Field Recruiter will consult with field management and field HR on all aspects of the staffing process for assigned areas of the business. As an integral part of the Talent Acquisition Team, this position will source and screen passive candidates, review applicants, coach hiring managers on staffing best practices, develop a staffing strategy while building and leveraging talent networks to generate leads. Additionally, this role will help drive recruitment programs that allow 24 Hour Fitness to hire a highly skilled and diverse workforce.


Applicant Lead Generation

  • Analyze each demographic market area and determine applicant lead needs to develop a cost-effective recruitment strategy.

  • Act as a Talent Acquisition business partner to hiring managers and Field HR to advise and develop a recruitment strategy to address staffing needs.

  • Screen applications, determine which candidates proceed in process and efficiently fill open positions.

  • Effectively build talent communities through various channels: Social Media, In-market Partnerships (e.g. University, Military), Networking Groups, etc.

  • Proactively research and evaluate new sourcing ideas and methods to create innovative sourcing strategies.

  • Provide full-cycle recruiting support to include sourcing resumes, conducting phone screens, setting up interviews and extending offers for field management positions.

  • Provide feedback to hiring managers regarding applicant availability, local market conditions, competitor and candidate feedback on pay and benefit packages.

  • Effectively manage the sourcing of different positions profiles and market locations as assigned.

  • Manage and maintain diversity strategy to attract a diverse workforce to the company.

Staffing Process Management

  • Interface and provide recruiting support and consultation to hiring groups in driving recruiting strategy as a full life cycle Talent Acquisition Partner.

  • Coach hiring managers on candidate management, assessment and selection processes.

  • Monitor and assist hiring managers and business partners with ADP Recruiting Management applicant tool (Applicant Tracking System).

  • Drive operational excellence and compliance.

  • Set high recruitment standards and increase strength of leadership pipeline.

  • Develop influential relationships with client groups, ensuring that recruitment is integrated into the business unit.

  • Manage new hire engagement survey process for hires placed.

  • Work with hiring managers to ensure candidates are on-boarded and trained appropriately.

  • Manage relations across the business and Talent Acquisition teams, establish ongoing relationships with hiring managers in order to understand their business and recruitment needs and fill their open positions in a timely manner.

Training and Consulting

  • Provide coaching on applicant sourcing and recruiting, behavioral based interviewing, selection and on-boarding to field management and HR partners.

  • Provide current data on headcount, turnover, and market research as needed.

  • Support and coach hiring managers with the role out of all new staffing related programs and processes.

  • Track, analyze and regularly review existing systems, processes, reporting and training related to recruiting to ensure effectiveness, accuracy and efficiency.

  • Provide feedback on staffing competency of candidate pool, design interview questions around competencies for position, and participate in interview selection process.

  • Provide feedback to hiring managers regarding applicant availability, local market conditions, competitor and candidate feedback on pay and benefit packages.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Experience utilizing Boolean Logic searches, cold calling, leveraging user/interest groups and various other creative sourcing strategies to identify passive candidates.

  • Ability to create interest and excitement about the opportunity with candidates during the interview process.

  • Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems and sourcing channels.

  • Strong technical skills, strategic thinking and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to adapt communication message and style to audience.

  • Working knowledge of Federal, State and local labor laws.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Proficient software skills: MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.

  • Proven ability to influence and partner with clients, customers and partners across different levels and backgrounds.

  • Strong business acumen and ability to effectively integrate recruiting into the business' ability to achieve results.

  • Direct sourcing and creative candidate generation abilities as well as sourcing strategy development.

Minimum Educational Level/Certifications

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience.

Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in Recruiting, Human Resources or staffing function.

Physical Demands/ Environmental Conditions

  • May be required to work at a computer or on the phone for extended periods.

  • Extended workdays may be required on occasion.

Travel Requirement

  • Occasional travel may be required.
