The Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day, hands-on execution of email marketing programs in support of company and business unit objectives. This includes ownership of the setup, maintenance, and review of ad hoc, reoccurring and triggered email communications. Additionally, this individual maintains a current understanding of email marketing best practices and applies them to the execution of our email campaigns in collaboration with the Adobe Campaign team.

Adobe Campaign Management Support

  • Building email campaigns, database selection, HTML presentation and quality assurance of all outbound campaigns.

  • Performs day-to-day email marketing activities including, but not limited to, email campaign set-up, scheduling, testing, tagging and deployment of one-time, recurring, triggered and dynamic content-driven campaigns.

  • Analyze e-mail campaign performance and make recommendations/implement changes to address underperforming results

  • Troubleshoots technical issues related to HTML templates, list segmentation and other aspects of email execution, as required.

  • Stays abreast of and recommends email marketing best practices with coding, design and testing of email campaigns.

  • Identify, plan, organize and manage multiple, parallel projects using formal project planning techniques to successfully build partnerships, coordinate e-mail marketing, build brand awareness.


Reporting and Tracking

  • Track Campaign results and work with marketing managers to recommend future changes, improvements.

  • Create new and/or update existing reporting to ensure value added data to improve future results

  • Assist and/or manage report generation as needed.

  • Prepare ad-hoc reports as needed by Sr. Management.





This is a full-time, permanent role reporting to the Sr. Marketing Manager. It will work collaboratively with the departmental marketing managers and overall Marketing department. This role does not have any direct reports.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to troubleshoot HTML coding problems

  • Ability to write basic SQL queries and define new audience types

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Good understanding of database concepts and segmentation

  • Ability and desire to learn quickly

  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction, while also functioning and contributing as part of a team

  • Attention to details

  • Ability to operate a personal computer

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible under pressure

  • Highly organized; proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with all levels of staff and management

  • Strong time management skills and ability to reprioritize constantly.

  • Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver expertise

Minimum Educational Level/Certifications

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications

  • 3+ years marketing experience building e-mail marketing campaigns

  • Multi-unit experience across multi-state organization

Physical Demands/ Environmental Conditions

  • This role is performed in a standard office environment.
