Reporting to the Director of Internal Communications, the Corporate Communications Manager is responsible for driving employee engagement around 24 Hour Fitness's corporate campaigns, initiatives, and meetings/events. The ideal candidate is a natural collaborator and should feel comfortable leading a cross-functional team of internal stakeholders and vendors to execute on the company's vision and business objectives -- including bringing our mission to create a healthier, happier world to life and binding employees to our brand. This position will also be a strategic partner to our HR team in the development, execution, and ongoing evolution of our Rewards & Recognition program and broader employee engagement efforts.


Corporate Meetings & Events

  • Drive the planning, agenda, logistics, and execution of all corporate meetings and events including (but not limited to): quarterly Town Halls, monthly Operations Leadership Team meetings, monthly Officers and Directors Team Meetings, etc.)

  • Work with the Director of Internal Communications to define event/meeting scope, agenda, objectives, attendee experience, success metrics, and budget.

  • Partner with internal subject matter experts to help shape speaker content so that it's inspiring to team members and achieves the desired impact.

  • Create pre-and post- communications in support of meetings and events including but not limited to: calendar invites, emails, executive talking points, presentations surveys, etc.

Corporate Campaigns & Initiatives

  • Lead change management communications strategy and execution for company initiatives

  • Partner with Field Communications and other business partners to create and deploy role based, targeted and engaging communications vehicles and content.

  • Look for additional ways and forums to drive employee engagement and help foster an inclusive, informed, and connected culture.

  • Springing from the company's newly formed CSR Platform, play a key role on the CSR core team and lead the creation and execution of CSR related events and programs aimed at increasing engagement, community impact, and brand reputation.

  • Partner with the HR team in the development, execution, and ongoing evolution of our Rewards & Recognition program.

  • Partner with other functional business partners across the organization to help promote and drive employee engagement around key internal programs/initiatives (e.g. Gallup Q 12 Engagement Survey, Two4Her series, brown bag sessions, etc.)


This position maintains solid relationships with senior executives, functional, and field leaders. This position does not have direct reports.

  • Ability to quickly adapt and effectively redirect efforts and associated resources to address any potential changes in event/meeting strategy.

  • Acts with a sense of urgency and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Exceptional organizational, project management, and time management skills.

  • Detail-oriented and can be relied upon to continuously execute with precision.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel.)

Minimum Educational Level/Certifications

Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field- or equivalent experience.

Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications

7-10 years of internal communications, employee engagement/change management and/or corporate events experience.

Physical Demands/ Environmental Conditions

  • Occasional light lifting, walking, standing.

  • Repetitive use of hands - keyboarding functions.

  • Standard office environment noise.

Travel Requirement

Availability to travel up to 30% of the time.
